Resources for The Christmas Journey

Some Practical Arrangements
- The storyboard was designed to appeal to all five senses - touch, taste, smell, sight and sound.
- We invited only Year 2 children from local schools. This means that we can repeat the Journey each year to a fresh audience.
- We found that by providing transport we were able to regulate starting times much more easily.
- The children were led round the rooms by leaders carrying a star.
- Before beginning the journey, the class were taught a song to sing between rooms.
- Half of the class began the journey while the others did a simple craft activity to take back to school. The second group followed once the first had reached the third room. The first group did the craft activity at the end.
